PAKISTAN KIDNEY TRADE

Pakistan Kidney Sellers Association Chairman, 25-year-old Pakistani Iqbal Zafar and three other villagers, show their scars after they each sold a kidney to pay off debts in Sultan Pur, Pakistan. As the illegal kidney trade gets rampant in Pakistan, the country’s legal experts are giving final touches to a draft law that will curb the dirty business. The money earned by the poor donors is used for a variety of purposes including marriages, house building, loan repayments, drug abuse or simply to have a good time. Many Pakistani hospitals, which provide transplant facilities, have hundreds of donors listed with them, offering a transplant to anyone who can pay 5,000 to 6,000 dollars.

*NY rapper Azealia Banks just brought Dolce & Gabbana’s new racially-insensitive clothing and accessory line back into the headlines with a series of tweets.

A month after the Italian design house’s controversial spring 2013 collection made its debut at Milan Fashion Week, Banks took to Twitter this past weekend to say she is boycotting the line over its imagery. “Definitely boycotting Dolce & Gabanna,” she tweeted. “Whoever designed that racist ass Dolce and Gabanna collection needs a swift kick in the mouth and a big d**k up the ass. “I really hate when people do corny, racist things then try to justify it as ‘art.’” “It’s all just really unnecessary. the clothes in the collection were fine without all the ‘black mammie’ imagery.” – - Read more

My Beef With “The New Normal”

©ourtesy of Bittersweet

I am obsessed with gay culture; I analyze, praise, and sometimes denounce every piece I come in contact with. That is why I was excited by the announcement of Ryan Murphy’s new show baby, The New Normal. The basic premise is about a gay male couple that seeks out a surrogate mother in order to start their own family. Toss in a misunderstood daughter, a sassy black personal assistant, and a homophobic and racist grandmother and you have the perfect grounds for a hilarious sitcom. - – Read more

NOTE: Question here is, WHY are gay characters in the media, television, film, videos etc., always portrayed as “TRENDS”. Such a Joke that really ain’t all that funny …! Point is, the time is right for the marketers to make some money, BIG TIME, at the expense of the Gay Community. Next year it’ll be some other Group….ha-rrrrrray.

Normalizing Nudity

Read an interesting article over at Umlud’s Place about a WWII-era ad that today would unquestionably be considered pretty damn homoerotic. Seriously, look at this. Head over to Umlud’s to get the full copy. What’s interesting about it is that it and the whole campaign was based on actual stories from members of the military. The thing is, I have absolutely no problem believing that a bunch of Army doctors would strip down and go frolicking together with nothing but a length of flimsy rope netting between them and a bunch of hungry crocodiles. – - Read more
